Before you begin
- There are no right or wrong answers. This is a description of how you work, not a test of how well you work.
- There is no good or bad result. The instrument identifies one of nine patterns, and every one of them is load-bearing: some patterns start adoption, some make it repeatable, and some keep verified work from shipping errors at scale.
- Caution scores as a strength. Careful, verifying, and skeptical patterns are measured as essential controls — never as resistance.
- It is not a performance review. Results are not a competency, productivity, or job-fit rating, and they are not a recommendation to hire, promote, or dismiss anyone.
- Answer as you actually work today, not as you think you should. Accuracy is the only thing that makes the result useful to you.
How the assessment works
41 items measure four independent dimensions of working behavior. Your four scores place you within The AIRE Nine — a pattern, not a rank.
- AAwareness
- How much of the AI landscape you actively track — capabilities, limits, and where the tools are wrong.
- IInitiative
- How readily you try a new tool on real work before anyone asks you to.
- RRigor
- How consistently you verify output, keep sources, and refuse to ship what you cannot check. Measured as a control, never as resistance.
- EExecution
- How reliably an experiment becomes a repeatable part of how the work actually gets done.
Why scores stay comparable
- One instrument, one scale. Every respondent answers the same items on the same 0–100 dimension scale, so an Awareness score means the same thing in construction as it does in healthcare.
- Industry changes the language, not the math. Industry examples and expression names are localized for relevance; item scoring, weights, and thresholds are identical across all verticals.
- AIRE types are positions, not tiers. All nine are reachable from the same score space, and none is scored higher than another — a high-Rigor pattern and a high-Initiative pattern are equally valid outcomes.
- Reverse-keyed and quality-check items. Balanced item direction plus standard validity checks keep the profile from being driven by answer style.
- Scores carry a margin. Dimension values are reported as ±5; small differences between two people are not meaningful differences.
